Inside this Space - Printed Drum Heads

The Ayala Band and Colorguard is a nationally-renowned and award-winning marching music ensemble hailing from Chino Hills, CA.

I was commissioned to design bass drum heads for the 2020 Indoor program entitled “Inside this Space.” The brief for this project was to create something that enhanced the general effect of the show, and we did this by combining a custom graphic with transparent film in order to allow people to see the space within and even past the bass drums as they march all over the performance floor.

We produced this bass drum head in conjunction with popular drum head company Remo Inc.
